DLThe winger from Aguadulce continues to move forward in his recovery from the sprain he suffered in his right knee last August 28 against Elche. Less than a month after that injury, Andrés Martín has already been able to return to the grass at Santi Gutiérrez Calle, when initially a recovery period of between six and eight weeks was being considered to be available again.
During the session, the attacker for Racing Santander worked alongside the rehabilitation coach Hugo Camarero and the physiotherapist Javier Martín. His training included continuous runs, different drills, and exercises in which he was even able to return to contact with the ball.
Simon Eriksson was also on the pitch, carrying a tendinopathy in his right shoulder. The goalkeeper continues with his recovery and still does not do any specific goalkeeping work.
The session was the second of the week for the Racing squad and took place ahead of the scheduled training match against Unión Deportiva Logroñés at La Albericia. The aim is to maintain a competitive pace during the long break before hosting Valencia on Sunday, October 11 at 21:00 at Los Campos de Sport de El Sardinero.
José Alberto López was not present as he was in Las Rozas to attend the meeting of professional coaches. Nor did the internationals Yassir Zabiri and Pablo García take part, as they are with Morocco and Spain Under-21, respectively. The players from the B team Laro Gómez and Gaby Jiménez once again completed training with the first team.
