Ramón Terrats and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put their names to a draw that left very different feelings. Getafe were better for much of the match and found the 1-0 when they were pressing hardest, but Deportivo changed the game from the bench and their striker returned to sign the final 1-1. The Azulones finish with five points, while the Coruña side reach nine and extend their unbeaten run at this early stage of LaLiga.

Getafe CF

The context already pointed to two different needs. Getafe arrived at matchday five with four points and, after drawing with Celta, needed to keep their attacking output going. On the other side was a Deportivo side in much better form: eight points, two consecutive wins against Valencia and Villarreal, and an Aubameyang who had scored in each of the first four matchdays. The newly promoted team had turned their return to the top flight into one of the most eye-catching starts of the campaign.

First half

Getafe took only a few seconds to make clear where they wanted to take the game. Iván Azón beat Leo Román in the first minute, although the move was ruled out for offside. It was not an isolated burst: Bordalás' side pressed high, looked for quick attacks, and managed to keep the match close to Deportivo's area for many minutes. Satriano, Azón and Ünal found chances to threaten a visiting defence that struggled to get past the first wave of Azulón pressure.

The numbers reflected that greater initiative: Getafe went into the break after registering eight shots to Deportivo's three. Even so, Antonio Hidalgo's team managed to steady themselves as the minutes went by. Mario Soriano began to get involved more consistently, Luismi Cruz found some space, and Quagliata joined in from the flank. David Soria had to intervene when Depor managed to shake off the pressure and balance the closing stretch of the first half.

Second half

The break did not cool Getafe down. The home side pushed again from the start and were very close to a goal when Mario Martín sent a ball against the crossbar after a set-piece. Deportivo remained uncomfortable in their attempts to progress, and Bordalás ensured the game was played for many minutes at the pace that suited the Azulones best.

That insistence eventually paid off in the 66th minute. Djené won it back to trigger a quick transition, Iván Azón found the run of Ramón Terrats, and the midfielder attacked the space before firing the 1-0 with his left, far from Leo Román. It was not only the scorer: Terrats had been one of the players who best understood when to speed things up and when to arrive from behind.

Antonio Hidalgo's response changed the picture. Adama Traoré had come on for Marc Casadó and shortly after Yeremay and Zakaria appeared. Deportivo won the wide areas, used more bodies in the last line, and forced Getafe to retreat. That transformation led to the equaliser in the 78th minute: Yeremay received it unmarked, delivered a precise cross, and Aubameyang attacked the delivery to head it into the net. It was his fifth goal in five matchdays.

The 1-1 did not stop the Galician side. The closing stages changed hands, and Deportivo even looked to complete the comeback, with Zakaria and Giménez coming close, while Getafe tried to protect a point after carrying the weight of the match for more than an hour. No winner emerged, and the split ended up rewarding two very different phases: the work and home pressure for much of the contest, and the impact of the visitors' changes in the end.

For Getafe, Ramón Terrats was the big fantasy name. His 14 Comunio points and 8.0 on Sofascore clearly made him the best-rated player in the Azulón squad. The goal explains much of his huge return, but his performance was even more complete: he appeared between the lines, supported the transitions, and found the right moment to join the area. A showing that greatly boosts his appeal for the next matchdays.

Johan Mojica also posted very strong numbers, with 7 Comunio points and a 7.3 on Sofascore, making him the second most profitable player for Getafe despite not featuring directly in the goals. Iván Azón also closed out an interesting matchday with 6 points and a 6.9; in addition to seeing his early goal ruled out, he was the one who found Terrats in the build-up to the 1-0.

For Deportivo, Aubameyang was again the winning bet. The striker finished with 12 Comunio points and a 7.7 rating on Sofascore. His header allowed them to rescue the draw and confirms the enormous impact he is having at the start of the season. For fantasy managers, his ability to decide matches even when his team is going through spells of limited control is once again especially valuable.

Behind the goalscorer there was a very even group. Marc Casadó, Amatucci and Luismi Cruz reached 5 Comunio points and a rating of 7.0 on Sofascore, while Yeremay, despite playing only the closing stretch, earned 5 points and a 6.7 after changing the tempo of the attack and playing a decisive role in the draw. There were no players with negative Comunio scores; the most modest figure among Deportivo's starters was Ximo Navarro, with 1 point and a 6.0 on Sofascore.
