New setback for Málaga CF just hours before they face Celta. Carlos Dotor drops out of the squad after being affected by the same gastrointestinal virus that had already ruled out Adam Aznou and Álex Pastor.

Málaga Club de Fútbol

The Málaga CF has announced a new last-minute withdrawal for this Sunday’s match against RC Celta at Balaídos. Carlos Dotor will finally not be able to take part in the game due to a gastrointestinal virus.

The midfielder had initially been included in the squad drawn up by Juanfran Funes and was available to face Celta, the club he belongs to and which has him on loan this season with the Málaga side.

However, in the hours leading up to the match, Dotor has gone through the same viral process as Adam Aznou and Álex Pastor, who had already been left out of the party due to gastroenteritis.

An important loss for Funes

The absence comes at a particularly untimely moment for the Málaga coach, as he loses one important option in midfield just before the start of the match.

Dotor had been counting on a leading role in Funes’s plans and his return to Balaídos also had an added special element due to his contractual link with Celta.
