Ramis shakes up Osasuna's XI: two names gain strength ahead of the clash with Espanyol
The injuries and the heavy defeat against the Alavés have pushed Luis Miguel Ramis to introduce changes this Saturday at El Sadar. Rockson and Romain Del Castillo appear among the alternatives after a match in Vitoria that highlighted several positions.

The absences of Aimar Oroz and Moi Gómez reduce the options in an important area of the pitch and make it easier for players who until now have had little or no role to step in. The coach therefore has room to tweak a team that needs to recover the order shown in the opening rounds.
The 5-2 thrashing in Mendizorrotza was a blow for an Osasuna side that had started the campaign by conceding just one goal in its first three matches. Ramis had built his approach around balance and defensive discipline, but the clash with Alavés broke that pattern.

DFOne of the changes made in that game was the introduction of Rockson. The Ghanaian centre-back replaced Boyomo in the 60th minute, after a difficult spell for the Cameroon international in his return to the starting XI. Ramis had already said before the match that he had different options to fill the left-back profile.
Rockson, who arrived from Goteborg, responded in a very hostile scenario for the Navarrese side. His involvement in Vitoria places him among the possibilities the coach can consider for the next fixture against the Espanyol.
Rockson and Del Castillo, two routes to reshuffle the XI
Ramis has used 19 players in the first four matchdays of LaLiga, a figure that could rise this weekend. Among those still waiting to make their debut are Romain Del Castillo and Diego Rico.

MDThe Frenchman now has more options due to the absences in the second attacking line. His ability to operate between the lines gives the coach a different profile to work with. Ramis already explained the differences between him and Aimar Oroz: “Romain Del Castillo, in different context, in different profile, also gives us solutions between the lines, just like Aimar Oroz does. He has other characteristics. Aimar Oroz turns more quickly; he can unbalance things or leave and dribble two, three players and clear up a move. Romain Del Castillo does it another way”.
Del Castillo did not play against Alavés, but the injury to Moi Gómez is now added to Aimar's absence and increases his chances of getting minutes, even starting from the first XI. Diego Rico, the other signing who still hasn't made his debut, continues to wait for his opportunity as well.
The schedule could also expand the rotation in the coming dates. Osasuna will face three matches in a week, an accumulation of fixtures that could lead to more players from the squad getting a chance.
