Pellegrini looks to the bench after the Champions League: three players gain ground against Villarreal
The Real Betis will have six days to recover from their European debut before returning to action in LaLiga. That window does not rule out Manuel Pellegrini refreshing the squad against Villarreal, with several players who had little involvement against Lille now knocking on the door of the starting XI.

The management of workloads will be one of the issues the verdiblanco coach will have to assess during the coming training sessions. Fran García, Marc Roca and Cucho Hernández are among the main candidates to come into the starting lineup on Monday, although the physical condition of the entire squad will still need to be checked.
The Real Betis will arrive at the fixture after beating 2-3 Lille in the opening match of the UEFA Champions League. Marc Bartra scored twice and Parrott added the other goal in a win that forced Pellegrini's side to make a significant effort.
For that game, the coach named Álvaro Valles in goal; Junior Firpo, Natan, Marc Bartra and Héctor Bellerín in defence; Facundo Bernal and Pablo Fornals in midfield; Rodrigo Riquelme, Isco and Antony in the three-quarter line; and Parrott as the attacking reference.
Not all the squad members accumulated the same workload. Fran García played just nine minutes, while Marc Roca featured for 23. Cucho Hernández and Ángel Ortiz, meanwhile, did not manage to take the field.
It will also be important to monitor the progress of Diego Llorente. The centre-back was not available for the Lille match as a precaution after suffering a heavy blow to his nose during last Friday's game against Real Madrid.

With the match against the Villarreal set for next Monday, Pellegrini has several days to decide how much he changes his lineup. The situation of those who played fewer minutes in the Champions League opens the door to possible changes.
