With just two training sessions left before the match corresponding to matchday 5 of LaLiga 2026-27, Carlos Corberán still has not been able to bring several players into full group training. The other concern centers on Mouctar Diakhaby. The centre-back suffered a muscular problem during the most recent match against Barcelona at Mestalla and this Tuesday left Paterna to go to hospital and undergo the tests required.

An initial check points to an "important" injury, although the exact extent still needs to be determined. Diakhaby left Mestalla limping, with the worry that he may have to spend some time out of action. The club has not yet published an official medical report on the defender's injury.
