Flick's side begin their European journey against Feyenoord this Wednesday at 18:45. They will do it at the New Camp Nou and after scoring a staggering 17 goals in 4 matchdays. Having shown that in Spain it is going to be difficult to knock them off their stride, the aim is to leave the same impression in Europe. As several big-name players in the dressing room said last season, including Gavi and Lamine , the obsession is to lift the trophy more than a decade after their last triumph.

FC Barcelona

With a perfect record to date and with a Fermín, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha operating at an incredible level, the definitive statement from Barcelona could come now.

The icing on the cake for Flick's project

The blaugranas are not coming off a perfect performance but from four straight wins. With no pure centre-forward, the Catalan stars have stepped up, and, besides having a better squad than last season, they are also sending out signs that they are a better team. In the two seasons with Flick, Barcelona entered the top 8 of the qualifying group stage. The Dutch Feyenoord will be the first obstacle to making that possible again. Naturally, they start as strong favourites. Far from being two teams used to meeting, they have played just two matches. One ended in a Barcelona win and the other, in a draw - both in 74/75-. As of today, neither side has lost any of their league matches, but Feyenoord are third in the Eredivisie.

With the exception of Roony and De Jong, everyone is expected to be available unless there is a surprise. Eric García, who suffered an unfortunate header from Rodri, is expected to be able to play even though, according to different media reports, he may have fractured his nasal septum again. That said, he would be returning to use the mask he wore in 25/26. Given the cruising speed the Catalans seem to be on, it does not look like there will be many rotations. Getting off to a good start is essential.
