Martín Anselmi is entering the decisive days of preparation with several folders still open. The Monday clash against the Real Sociedad, for the fourth matchday of the competition, will come after two more training sessions in which the coaching staff will be able to fine-tune the squad selection.

The biggest news on Friday was about Fer Niño. The forward returned to work with the group after a week affected by muscle discomfort that forced him to withdraw from Monday's session and prevented him from training with his teammates on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

His presence under the orders of Anselmi is a step forward, although it does not yet confirm his availability for the match. The progress he shows in Saturday and Sunday sessions will determine whether he can finally be included in the Argentine coach's plans for the visit of the Donostia side.

New faces in Elche's work

The training session also allowed Thomas Lemar, Roy Revivo and Rubén Sánchez to be seen working normally. All three arrived at the Elche on the last day of the transfer window last Tuesday, and they are already training with the rest of the squad.

Anselmi will have to assess whether the newly signed players are in a condition to be part of the squad for the Real Sociedad match. Their inclusion in the list could become one of the surprises of the game and would open the door to their first minutes in the franjiverde shirt.

Not everyone was available for this Friday's session. Yago Santiago continues with his recovery process, while Kevin Lomónaco, also announced as a new club player last Tuesday, is still not at the disposal of the coaching staff.

The Illicitano side will complete on Saturday and Sunday their last two training sessions before Monday's match, a fixture in which Anselmi could have several new faces and recover one of his attacking options.
