When it seemed that the player had fallen on his feet in the babazorro side and his value was growing like wildfire in our fantasy markets, a piece of news from this Thursday's training session has landed in the albiazul family like a bucket of cold water, because it appears that it could even be a fairly serious knee injury.

The player will undergo a scan and we will have to keep an eye on the possible medical report issued by the club. We advise putting the player up for sale until then and let's hope that the bad omens do not come true for the good Mikel. 

The injury occurred at the very end of training, with very little time to face the third match of the season at Mendizorroza against Osasuna and with the transfer window already closed. Rodríguez will be out for sure against the rojillos and within the Vitoria set they are crossing their fingers that he is not sidelined for long. His injury coincides with Toni Martínez's absence as well, with a micro-tear in the soleus that will keep him out for between two and three weeks.
