COMUNIO: Debunking the myth, which position scores more points

Not always is the most expensive forward the best investment. In Comunio, midfielders, defenders and even goalkeepers can offer more points and much higher returns. We have carried out a study of the 100 best players and this is the result.

Goalkeepers: a low-cost source of points

Goalkeeping can offer very interesting opportunities. A goalkeeper from a mid-table or lower team, who is forced to intervene frequently, can rack up points thanks to his saves. If he keeps an affordable price and has plenty of work, he can become one of the positions with the best cost-to-performance ratio.

Defenders: points that come from behind

Attacking defenders can be a great investment. A full-back who joins the attack and creates assists or a centre-back with danger on set pieces have enormous potential. Each goal scored by a defender is worth 5 points, the highest figure among outfield players, and that can boost their profitability.

Midfielders: the most reliable

Midfielders usually provide a consistency that few positions can match in Comunio. They have many ways to score points, because they tend to be involved more in the match: key passes, recoveries, dribbles, or accuracy in distribution. In addition, each goal gives them 4 points, one more than forwards.

Forwards: expensive and dependent on scoring

Forwards usually rise in price, but they also depend much more on scoring. When they cannot find the net, their points can suffer. Also, their goals add 3 points, fewer than midfielders and defenders.

The midfielders are the position that contributes the most points, with an 35% of the total. Forwards follow very closely, with a 32%, while defenders add up to 21% and goalkeepers stay at 12%.
