Pathé Ciss demands a transfer and does not train!
Pathé Ciss has taken his desire to leave Rayo Vallecano to a new scenario. The Senegalese midfielder did not train this Monday with his teammates after repeatedly telling the club that he considers his spell in Vallecas to be over.

The player believes the transfer market has opened enough options for him to consider a move. Spanish clubs are keeping an eye on his situation and, outside LaLiga, Besiktas and Al Shabab are emerging as the two most concrete interests known so far.
The club keeps the price
The response from Rayo Vallecano has not changed. Pathé Ciss is under contract until 2027 and in Vallecas they point to the 10 million euros in his release clause, an amount that sets the starting point for any deal.
That firm stance has ended up raising the tension between the parties. Ciss wants the club to listen to the proposals that have arrived over the summer and sees no room to extend a situation that, according to his position, has been dragging on for some time.
The clearest precedent came in January 2023. At the time, the midfielder had his move to the Lyon on track, but Rayo stopped the operation and decided to keep him in the squad. A year later, Al Shabab also tried to sign him, although the Franjirroja club pointed to the clause as the reference again.
Since his arrival in 2021, Pathé Ciss has been one of the most prominent players in the team. He has 179 official matches in the Vallecas shirt and has had a role under different coaches, both in the middle of the pitch and in emergency duties, including playing as a centre-back.
His sporting importance explains the club's resistance to letting him leave for less than his terms. At the same time, the player believes his cycle is already over and has taken a step further in the middle of the market by refusing to train with the group.
