The Racing de Santander is on the verge of closing one of the biggest moves of its return to LaLiga. Iván Martín will be a new green-and-white player, barring a last-minute twist, after the Racing and the Girona reached an agreement for the midfielder.

But there is an important detail: the signing is still not official.
Neither the Racing nor the Girona have announced the deal for the moment, although the information published this Thursday points in the same direction. Cadena SER says the player has already said goodbye to the Girona dressing room and is heading to Cantabria to complete the final steps before becoming a new Racing player.

Estadio Deportivo also confirms the agreement between the two sides and says that the final formalities are still pending: the player's signature and the corresponding official announcement from the clubs.

An agreement that could reach 4 million

The Racing will pay 3 million euros in fixed fees, while the operation could rise to 4 million depending on the variables agreed. The Girona, meanwhile, would also retain a percentage of a future sale.
