Betis steps up for Fabio Silva and moves fully into the race for the striker

Real Betis has stepped up its interest in Fabio Silva to strengthen the attack and partner Cucho Hernandez. The Portuguese already knows LaLiga thanks to his good performances with Las Palmas, and he appears as an attractive option for Manuel Pellegrini.

Betis seems to have moved ahead of several competitors, especially Real Sociedad, which had been working on its signing for weeks. Other clubs such as Villarreal and Deportivo have also shown interest.

The main obstacle is financial. Borussia Dortmund paid 22.5 million euros for the forward and would be looking to recoup an amount close to 20 million. Given Betis's financial constraints, the preferred deal would be a loan with an option to buy, or even a conditional obligation.

The deal is still not closed, but Betis has already made direct moves with Dortmund. Fabio Silva is gaining momentum as one of the main candidates to become the striker the green-and-white side is looking for.
