Junior Firpo on the way out: Betis looking for a solution at left-back
Junior Firpo's future is once again up in the air in Heliópolis. The arrival of Fran García, together with the Dominican's very modest pre-season, could lead Real Betis to look for a way out for him before the transfer window closes... and all of it with Manuel Pellegrini's blessing.

DFJunior Firpo's future now seems further away from the Benito Villamarín. The arrival of Fran García, his low-key pre-season and, above all, Manuel Pellegrini's decision to give the green light to his departure have put the Dominican full-back on Real Betis' exit ramp.
Could his next destination be another LaLiga club?
One destination that could fit for Junior Firpo is the Rayo Vallecano. The Madrid side needs to strengthen at left-back after the departure of Pep Chavarría, who has left a major void in that position.
Firpo has experience in LaLiga and knows the competition inside out, so he could be an interesting alternative for the Vallecas outfit.
What's more, Rayo now has greater financial capacity following the sale of Chavarría, a factor that could make a deal for the green-and-white full-back easier.
Price of the deal
The Betis needs to generate outgoing moves in order to keep pushing forward in the market. The press has been pointing to the club's need to complete sales before taking on new signings.
In this context, a deal close to 3-5 million euros could be enough for Betis to seriously consider Junior's exit, although for the moment there is no confirmed formal offer. His departure would also allow the club to free up a squad spot and wage room to keep strengthening the squad.
