That said, at the Balaidos municipal stadium, in the days leading up to the start of the national championship of LaLiga, the star is neither Iago Aspas in the year of his final dance, nor Hugo González, who has kicked the door of the first team shut, nor a Aleix Febas who has left excellent impressions in pre-season.

The focus of attention right now is on the pitch at the Vigo coliseum and on that fungus that has decided to spread at will, leaving the grass in a deplorable state, and seriously threatening the celebration of this match between the home side and Club Atlético Osasuna. 

Pre-season has left a good taste for the Celeste faithful. There have been commendable results against teams that are certainly competitive,  the emergence of new talents "feitos na Madroa" (Antañón, Hugo Burcio and the other Hugo mentioned above) and some signings that, without being too many, fully reinforce and improve Claudio Giráldez's idea of play -although the squad is still not finalized.

With the fungus on the pitch, the starting XI should be recognizable in this first league match. Starfelt is a doubt after playing the World Cup with Sweden and having less time to recover and work with the group. Likewise, Borja Iglesias. Yoel Lago could take the place of the Viking alongside Marcos Alonso and Javi Rodríguez in defense, with the tough job of containing Budimir's goal-scoring frenzy. Jutglá we believe will be the offensive reference up front for the Celeste attack.

In midfield, pre-season, in addition to the aforementioned Febas, has left us with very good feelings thanks to a Miguel Román who seems fully recovered from his injury in the final stretch of last campaign and looks set to be a key player in the blue-Celeste team's engine room. Command, passing between the lines, authority and recovery are this player's main attributes. On the flanks, Carreira and Rueda.

And speaking of Rueda...please, damn you, silly fungus...go back home, and let the ball roll!!!

CA Osasuna

CA Osasuna will start the season at Balaidos against a tricky Celta de Vigo. After a pre-season with a record of three wins and two defeats, the latter in the two most recent matches, the red-and-white side will look to pick up all three points on the road and kick off the campaign on the right foot. The team coached by Luis Miguel Ramis approaches this first matchday with a squad that still expects some reinforcements, especially in the defensive area.

As for the possible starting XI, there are still a few question marks. At right-back, Rosier's physical problems Rosier could open the door to Arguibide, who has made the most of his opportunities during pre-season and seems to have earned the coach's trust. In the middle of the park there could also be changes. Iker Muñoz has left good impressions in the friendlies and positions himself as one of the main alternatives to partner the red-and-white midfield, potentially taking the spot from Lucas Torró.

With Aimar Oroz and Ante Budimir as undisputed pieces, the biggest doubts are on the wings. On the left side, Raúl Moro is set for the starting XI whenever he can recover from the physical problems he suffered against Al Ain. His progress over the next few days will be key in deciding whether he is in Balaidos.

On the right flank, Rubén García starts with an advantage to take the position, although you'll need to pay attention to Dubasin. The recent red-and-white signing has left good impressions and his arrival significantly increases the competition for a spot in which the veteran Navarro player starts, a priori, with the edge.
