The arrival of Carlos Espí at Real Madrid not only strengthens José Mourinho's attack. It also completely changes the picture for Endrick, who once again finds himself without a clear path to a starting spot just as he was returning with the intention of earning a place in the team.

The Brazilian forward had brought his return from vacation forward in the hope of taking advantage of the departure of Gonzalo García to Fulham. Everything suggested he could become the main alternative to Kylian Mbappé, but the club moved quickly and paid the 25 million euros of the release clause for Carlos Espí, a striker with a completely different profile and specifically requested by Mourinho.

The competition doesn't help either. Mbappé will continue to be the offensive reference and Espí starts with an advantage to become the natural replacement for the Frenchman. In addition, Endrick 's options to play on the wing are also reduced by the presence of players like Brahim, Rodrygo or the imminent signing of Yan Diomande.

With only 20 years old, Endrick still has room to change the situation, and the pre-season will be an opportunity to convince Mourinho. The signing of Carlos Espí is bad news for Fantasy managers who are counting on Endrick. On paper, the Brazilian loses options to add minutes and could be relegated to a very secondary role for much of the season, or even loaned out again or even sold, to have enough financial room and a free squad spot for another signing.

The recommendation is clear: sell him or avoid signing him in conventional leagues, since his involvement looks set to be very limited. Only in leagues with very large squads does it make sense to keep him or back him as a high-risk investment, hoping he can take advantage of any opportunity if Mourinho decides to give him minutes, or if he manages to outperform Espí when he gets the chance. For now, it's a bet with far more risk than immediate upside.
