Getafe CF Fantasy Guide 2026/27: squad, likely starting XI and recommended players

Goal for the 2026/27 season
A new season begins in Getafe with Bordalás at the helm. A campaign that comes with the big ambition to compete in Europe after the miraculous qualification achieved by the blue-and-ones last season.
The main goal is the same as always, to stay in LaLiga. On top of that, there is the intention to put in a worthy performance in the unusual continental competition. Bordalás already got the best out of this team in Europe in a truly memorable Europa League, back in 2020.
The continuity of the Alicante coach seems to be a guarantee of maximum output from the squad, whatever the case. He already proved it by delivering an outstanding job with a group that had to deal with limitations of all kinds.
Given what we have seen, the transfer market has become relatively less important. The shortcomings from last campaign seem impossible to repeat (it would be a case study), so anything that comes in will be welcomed and will be made the most of. What is most worrying is the loss of hierarchy among the players who have left the club, including unquestioned starters such as Milla, Arambarri, Domingos Duarte or Juan Iglesias, as well as Diego Rico, one of the blue-and-ones with the most seasons as a Getafe player.
As for the arrivals the most exciting was the signing of Uche, but his serious injury has thrown the team's backbone into doubt. This bad news seems to have been softened by the return of a blue-and-one legend like Unal and the addition of Johan Mojica. Also generating good vibes, even if they are not exactly brand-new faces, are the definitive signings of players who were key in the second half of last season: Zaid Romero, Satriano and Boselli.
