Rosier's injury disrupts Osasuna's pre-season start

The group's work had a recovery tone after the previous day's win. At Tajonar, Osasuna completed a recovery session in which Rosier was not present, having been injured during the match against the Cantabrian side.

Ramis also explained that the absences of Boyomo, Oroz and Moi Gómez in the first friendly were due to niggles they had been carrying. The Osasuna coach preferred not to push any of them during this initial stretch of the preparation.

The team will return to work on Monday at 10:00, again at Tajonar, with a session open to the public. After that, the squad will travel to England, where it will stay until Saturday to continue the pre-season.

The English tour, next stop

During the camp in British territory, Osasuna has two friendlies scheduled: on Wednesday against Ipswich Town and on Saturday against Norwich City. The plan will be completed with five training sessions before the return.

Beyond Rosier's physical setback, Ramis finished satisfied with what he saw against Racing de Santander. The coach highlighted the opponent's intensity: “Racing has been a team that has made things difficult for us, that has made it very hard for us to create chances”.

He also assessed the way the goals came about, the result of actions “in which we adjusted the pressure well to win the ball back”. His verdict was positive: “I always prefer to win, and mixing that with situations we have worked on and that have been showing; we have taken a small step forward”.

The coach also focused on the youth players who took part in the friendly. “They are at the level of the team; in the top flight the level is very high, and they have to gradually breathe in what is needed. They are receptive. Their team-mates have a lot of experience, and I hope we can keep feeding them minutes so they gain experience”.

After that, Barja took the floor, the captain and winger from Noain, who was left with the competitiveness shown by the team. “Well, I liked the first half; I think the team competed incredibly, we caused damage to the opponent. The second half too. I don't know, I think it was a pretty complete game. Away from home you sometimes see it differently, but in that sense I think we have to be happy. But this is just the beginning; we have to keep going”.
