The full-back can fit in very well at Real Madrid thanks to his ability to press, win the ball back and cover the entire left flank. However, there is a major difference between being one of the best full-backs in the league and being worth more than 18 million. To justify that investment, he would need to be a near-constant starter, be involved in goals, keep clean sheets and receive very high ratings on a regular basis.
Cucurella has enough quality and experience to become one of Comunio's best defenders, but his current price is hard to justify. For a similar amount, you can find midfielders or forwards with far more ability to score and assist.

Vinícius does not have the same goal-scoring ability as Mbappé and will likely continue to cede the Frenchman a significant share of the penalties. However, the presence of the French forward could also benefit him, since opponents cannot focus all their defensive attention on the left side.
His main advantage over Gordon is security. Vinícius knows LaLiga inside out, is fully adapted to Real Madrid and has spent several seasons proving he can produce very high scores. His starting role and importance in the attack are beyond doubt.
In terms of price, experience and risk, Vinícius looks like a more reasonable investment than Gordon and Cucurella. His performance may have ups and downs, but his ability to decide matches and create attacking actions is well established.
