Karim Adeyemi is emerging as a major option for the Blaugrana attack. The German striker at Borussia Dortmund is under contract until 2027 and, according to published information, his stance is not to renew and to prioritize a move to Barcelona.

FC Barcelona

The move would already be underway. Jijantes reported that the FC Barcelona is holding talks with Borussia Dortmund in an attempt to secure the arrival of the attacker, negotiations that would have gathered pace in recent days. The player, aged 24, is represented by Gestifute, Jorge Mendes' agency, an agent with direct links to several players in the Blaugrana squad.

Sources close to the player, contacted by Mundo Deportivo, claim that Adeyemi only considers wearing Blaugrana. His contract with the German club runs out on June 30, 2027 and, according to those same sources, his intention is not to extend his stay with Borussia Dortmund.

The scenario would also have the sporting approval of Hansi Flick, who knows the German international well. In the final stretch of the season, Adeyemi would have lost weight in his team due to his decision not to renew, a situation that also ended up keeping him away from Germany's squad for the World Cup.

A fast and versatile profile for the forward line

The Borussia Dortmund would be willing to negotiate this summer to avoid a free exit in 2027. Adeyemi is a left-footed, fast attacker with the ability to play on both flanks, although he usually starts from the right to attack areas infield. Those who know him also see him as ready to play inside, without being a pure centre-forward.

His potential arrival would fit into an attacking front with several open fronts. After the departure of Robert Lewandowski, the situation of Roony Bardghji and Ferran Torres' contract running until 2027, the FC Barcelona is looking at ways to strengthen the forward line without losing sight of the fact that Julián Álvarez remains a top priority.

The arrival of Adeyemi, together with the signing of Anthony Gordon, would reduce the Blaugrana urgency to bolster the attack and would allow the club to approach any moves related to the forward at the Atlético de Madrid with more calm.

In his four seasons at Borussia Dortmund, Adeyemi has played 146 matches, scoring 36 goals and providing 25 assists. For Germany, he has been capped 11 times and has scored once. Before arriving in Dortmund, he played for Red Bull Salzburg, where he recorded 33 goals and 24 assists in 94 appearances.
