The future of Fran García is not closed off, despite the cautious message coming from his camp: as of today, he still belongs to the Real Madrid. The situation, however, allows for different interpretations after the moves made by the white club, with the signing of Marc Cucurella and the heavy investment from last summer in Álvaro Carrera, for whom they paid 50 million euros.

That context has put the 26-year-old full-back 26 years old on the radar of several clubs. The Betis considers him a particularly interesting profile for a priority position, although for now his arrival would not fit the economic parameters of the verdiblanco club. Before launching a real push, the club would need to create room through departures and deals that bring capital gains.

Interest in Fran García is not limited to LaLiga. In the Premier League he still has a reputation, and already in the past winter market the Bournemouth of Andoni Iraola had him on its agenda due to the lack of minutes he was finding at the Real Madrid. Iraola, who knows him from his time at the Rayo Vallecano and now coaches the Liverpool, could once again have him in mind in his new spell at Anfield.

Also, the Milan showed interest in the player last season, although he ultimately stayed with the white side. The Rayo Vallecano, where he delivered very high output, is still keeping an eye on his situation, although this possibility is viewed more as a complicated wish than as a truly advanced route.

At the Betis they value his suitability for Manuel Pellegrini's system. His track record, depth and attacking ability match what the team has been looking for at left-back since the departure of Álex Moreno, a position in which Heliópolis has lost level season after season.

Fran García has played this campaign 23 matches and 1,352 minutes across LaLiga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup. In that stretch he has recorded one goal and one assist, with 13 league games, seven in the Champions League, two in the Copa and one in the Super Cup.
