The future of Julián Álvarez is once again at the center of the transfer market. According to information revealed by Jota Jordi on El Chiringuito, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín would have contacted Joan Laporta directly to tell him that the Argentine forward is not for sale. However, the same report points to a possible parallel deal with Arsenal that would include money and Viktor Gyökeres.

Atlético de Madrid

The news has shaken up the market because it places FC Barcelona in a complicated position. According to this version, el Atlético de Madrid would have made it clear to the Catalan club that Julián Álvarez will not be heading to the Camp Nou, at least not under the terms discussed so far.

The message would have been direct: Julián is not for sale. A firm stance that fits with the idea of the Rojiblancos protecting one of their biggest attacking assets and avoiding strengthening a direct rival in LaLiga.

The surprise: a supposed agreement with Arsenal

The most striking part of the report comes with the Arsenal. As told by Jota Jordi, Atletico would have an agreement already in place with the English club to sell Julián Álvarez through a deal that would include 50 million euros plus Viktor Gyökeres.

If confirmed, it would be a deal of enormous impact in the European market. Atletico would lose a standout forward, but would receive a significant amount of money and a top-level attacker like Gyökeres, one of the most coveted names from recent transfer windows.

A deal with many angles

The scenario opens up several interpretations. On the one hand, Atletico would be staking its claim against Barcelona and preventing an uncomfortable exit within Spain. On the other, the Arsenal option would allow the player to move to the Premier League and secure immediate sporting compensation.

At Barcelona, meanwhile, the situation gets more complicated. Julián Álvarez is a very attractive profile for his age, mobility, goals and ability to play both as a reference point and as a second striker. But if Atletico maintains its refusal to negotiate with Laporta, the Blaugrana deal would need a major change.

Atletico has not made an official statement

For now, there is no official confirmation from Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona or Arsenal. The information should be treated as a television exclusive and not as an institutional, closed deal.

What does seem clear is that Julián Álvarez will be one of the big names of the summer. His situation interests several European giants, and any move involving the Argentine could trigger a domino effect in the market for forwards.
