Gonzalo García faces key days between the Spain national team and a market that is already starting to move with force. Real Madrid does not plan to keep him in the squad next season and has set a high benchmark to negotiate his departure.

The concentration with Spain could serve as a showcase for Gonzalo García. The forward is in Luis de la Fuente's support group and could get minutes this Thursday against Iraq at Riazor, a match that would open the door to his debut with the senior team.

Meanwhile, at Valdebebas they are working on another scenario. The Real Madrid believe the attacker needs continuity and that the offensive competition, strengthened by the return of Endrick, makes it very difficult for him to be a regular presence in the team.

The decision comes down to listening to offers during the summer. The white club considers that Gonzalo has reached a point where he needs to play frequently, although it does not intend to get rid of him at any cost. The figure set for a full sale is around the 60 million euros.

The market is already moving

Suitors are not lacking. In LaLiga, teams such as Getafe, Villarreal, Valencia or Real Sociedad have been keeping a close eye on his progress for some time. Outside Spain, there is also movement, with interest from the Premier League, Italy and Germany.

One of the clubs that appears with the most force is Borussia Dortmund, an organization used to working with young players and giving them room to grow. Gonzalo's strong performances when he has had opportunities with the first team have raised his asking price and increased the competition for his signing.

At Real Madrid, they especially value his ability to respond in the box. The Golden Boot he won at the last Club World Cup and his performances with the first team have reinforced the idea that his exit should be sealed through a major deal.

There is also an alternative on the table. The sporting directorate is looking at a formula similar to the one used with Nico Paz or Jacobo Ramón: to transfer only part of his rights, for example 50% for an amount close to the 30 million euros, while keeping an option to buy him back in the future.

This route would allow the forward to develop away from the Bernabéu without the club completely losing control over his career. At the same time, Gonzalo continues to work under Luis de la Fuente, within a World Cup shortlist in which, barring a last-minute setback, he is not expected to travel to the United States.

The friendly against Iraq could give him a new chance to show what he can do. If he finally plays, Gonzalo will add his first experience as a full Spain international.
