The choice of the new coach is drawing much of the attention in Osasuna, but it is not the only matter occupying the rojillo sporting directorate. In Pamplona, they are also moving ahead with squad planning and are already considering several names to reinforce key positions ahead of next season.

One of the players who remains on the Navarre agenda is Pepelu. The Valencia midfielder has long been highly valued by the club and is once again appearing among the options to strengthen the engine room.

The rojillo club believes the Denia player has several of the characteristics it is looking for in its midfield. His ability to organize the game, his judgment on the ball, and his experience at the top level make him an attractive alternative for taking on a new sporting project.

The interest is not new. For much of last season, when Pepelu lost prominence in parts of the campaign under the orders of Carlos Corberán, Osasuna followed his situation closely. Since then, reports on the player have maintained a positive assessment within the club.

As the announcement of the new coach, scheduled for the coming days, draws nearer, the sporting officials continue to explore market opportunities. The arrival of a coach will shape part of the roadmap, but some targets are already defined and Pepelu is among them.

For now, there is no advanced negotiation, although the Valencia player’s name remains on the table. Osasuna wants to make a competitive leap next campaign and believes that bringing talent and experience into the midfield will be one of the summer priorities.
