The Elche have already secured one of the continuities they wanted most for next season. The club from Elche has reached an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb to exercise the purchase option for Gonzalo Villar, who will continue wearing the franjiverde shirt after his loan during the second half of the campaign.

The Murcia midfielder signs until 2029 and becomes an important bet for the club as it looks to consolidate the project in the coming years. Although his adaptation was not immediate, Villar eventually found his place in the team and ended up being a pivotal piece in Eder Sarabia's plans during the final matchdays of the competition.

His growth coincided with the most demanding stretch of the season. In the thick of the fight for the team's targets, the midfielder was gradually gaining prominence until he established himself as a starter. In total, he played twelve matches, eight of them from the start, and also scored a crucial goal against Oviedo.

From a footballing standpoint, Gonzalo Villar stands out for his ability to organize play from midfield. He is a technical midfielder, with a good first pass and a great ability to offer solutions when building from the back.
