Betis faces their visit to Barcelona without classification pressure, but with several players fighting for minutes, prominence, and their future in a squad that will compete in the Champions League next season.

Real Betis Balompié

The Betis visits Barcelona this Sunday in a match with little at stake in terms of classification, but with enough incentives not to treat it as a mere formality. The verdiblancos have already secured their place in the next Champions League, while the blaugrana come as league champions with the objective of closing the season in the best possible way in front of their fans. For Manuel Pellegrini, the match can serve to distribute minutes and assess the level of several less regular players, although injuries significantly limit his plans. The Chilean coach will not be able to count on Aitor Ruibal, who had surgery on his right meniscus, nor on Bartra, Ángel Ortiz, and Sergi Altimira, all injured. Additionally, the suspended Diego Llorente and Cucho Hernández will also be absent.

A heavily conditioned defense

The defense is one of the areas where Pellegrini has the least margin. Bellerín is expected to occupy right back, while Natan and Valentín Gómez would form the center of defense. On the left side, there could be rotation, with the idea of distributing minutes across these last two league commitments. In midfield, Amrabat gains importance as a balancing piece, accompanied by Deossa or Fidalgo. Both have reasons to prove themselves: the former with his future up in the air; the latter needing to continue adapting to the competitive pace of LaLiga.

Antony, Abde, and Lo Celso, names to watch

In attack, Antony could regain prominence despite dealing with groin discomfort, since Pellegrini does not have many natural alternatives on the right wing. On the left, Abde has a special match against his former club and will want to take advantage of the Camp Nou stage to close the season with good feelings. The attacking midfield spot seems reserved for Lo Celso, one of the players with the most creative weight on the team, while Bakambu is expected to be the offensive reference against Barça.
