The cycle of Robert Lewandowski at FC Barcelona is coming to an end. The Polish forward has announced that he will leave the Blaugrana club at the end of the season, closing a four-year stage marked by titles, goals, and a key role in Barça's competitive comeback.

In his farewell message, Lewandowski said he is leaving with the feeling of having fulfilled the mission: “4 seasons, 3 championships”. The striker also wanted to highlight the affection received from the Barça fans since his early days in Barcelona, as well as leaving a very symbolic phrase: “Catalonia is my place on earth”.

The forward had special words for Joan Laporta, whom he thanked for the opportunity to live “the most incredible chapter” of his career. Lewandowski arrived at Barça in the summer of 2022 from Bayern Munich and since then became one of the team’s main offensive references.

His farewell marks the end of an era for the Blaugrana attack. At 37 years old, the Polish player concludes a stage in which he was decisive, a leader inside the box, and one of the key names in the project that brought Barça back to competing for major titles.

Now, the club will have to face a new stage without its main offensive reference of the last few years. Lewandowski himself closed his message with a phrase that sums up his bond with the club and the fans: “Barça is back where it belongs. Visca Barça. Long live Catalonia”.
