Carlos Álvarez has not been having any luck lately. The Andalusian returned this Saturday to the starting lineup with Levante, but his joy was short-lived. In the 29th minute, in a play in which he contested the ball with Moleiro, he twisted his ankle and had to leave the field with quite a bit of pain and clearly limping. It looks bad.

He just hasn’t had things go his way in this final stretch of the season. Between a groin injury and the fact that Luis Castro decided not to play him against Real Sociedad, he hadn’t played from matchday 27 to 30. And in the last four games, he has barely managed to play more than half an hour in total. In short, he’s having a quite difficult end of the season. On the other hand, what happened to Kareem Tunde is also frustrating. The forward, who comes from the reserves and had been getting some minutes with the first team, played again this Saturday against Villarreal, coming on in the second half for Iván Romero. But once again, he was unlucky.

He hadn’t even been on the pitch for 20 minutes when he felt discomfort in his adductor again, the very same injury he had carried since the match against Sevilla on April 23 and that already kept him out last week against Espanyol in Cornellà. Tunde had been a fairly regular substitute since December, after starting the season with the reserves, but now he is once again in doubt.

Now, both he and Carlos Álvarez will have to undergo tests to see exactly what they have and if they will be able to play at all during what remains of the season, which isn’t much.
