The consensus at FC Barcelona points to adding a left-footed and proven central defender. On that list, the first name is Alessandro Bastoni (27 years old), a prime target who fits what the club is looking for. The Inter Milan international meets the requirements and, according to Mundo Deportivo, would be willing to sign for Barça.

The problem lies in the financial scenario. Inter is not lowering their demands of 70 million, and Barça first needs to secure conditions that allow them to undertake an operation of that magnitude. Moreover, the roadmap shows the signing of Julián Álvarez as the top priority, for whom Atlético will also provide no easy terms.

The Brazilian played last season on loan from Napoli, and the Verdiblancos paid 9 million that summer to keep him.
