Víctor Muñoz has been injured at the worst possible moment. When he was being the best of Osasuna, making a difference and driving the opposing defense crazy, he got injured in the soleus of his left leg. He will be out for several weeks, which is a big blow for the team. On top of that, it doesn’t only affect the club: with the World Cup on the horizon, it also makes it very difficult for him to arrive on time. We hope it's only two or at most three weeks off and that he can return to play some league matches before the season ends.

This type of injury is not quick to recover from. Usually, it takes between two and three weeks, at least, so Osasuna loses one of their most important players just in the final stretch of La Liga, when they are playing for Europe.

In these matches absent, it is likely that Raul Moro will replace him.

As if that weren’t enough, there are also more injured players in the rest of the squad. In Wednesday’s closed-door training session at El Sadar, where they worked on preparations for the match against F.C. Barcelona, there were several absences and doubts:

Aimar Oroz did not train due to neck discomfort after the match against Sevilla, although in principle his starting spot is not in danger.

Juan Cruz returned but only trained with the group briefly.

Javi Galán didn’t show up because he had permission from the club for personal reasons.

So, nothing much, Osasuna arrives at the match against Barça with quite a few problems, several unknowns, and without one of their main weapons up front. They will have to manage as best they can.
