The final stretch of the season is heating up and the market is starting to move, also around players who have lost focus day to day. In the case of Gonzalo García, the interest has not dropped, although his role has in recent months.

At Valdebebas, visits have already been received. Representatives from a top Italian club came to inquire about the situation of several Real Madrid players, and one of the names on the table was Gonzalo García. The response, according to the source text, was emphatic: to start any conversation, the starting price is set at 60 million euros.

If that amount is confirmed in a future deal, it would position him as the second most expensive transfer from the Real Madrid youth academy, only behind the record held by Álvaro Morata, for whom Chelsea paid 80 million.

The white club’s stance is also supported by the forward’s recent history: the article recalls his Golden Boot at the last Club World Cup and his ability to respond with goals when playing in his natural position, the penalty area. It also highlights his competitive level proven both in LaLiga and in the Champions League.

Dortmund enters the scene and Madrid does not budge

The latest team to join the list of interested parties is Borussia Dortmund. From Germany, it is reported that the German club would be willing to offer up to 30 million, a figure which, for now, remains far from what Real Madrid demands to open negotiations.

This is not the first approach. Last January, some teams asked—among them Como—but Xabi Alonso then chose a specific path: he allowed Endrick to leave and bet on Gonzalo’s continuity. From that moment on, their paths, according to the account, took opposite directions: the Brazilian grew with playing time, while the academy graduate lost presence as his time on the pitch decreased.

The penalty area, his natural habitat

So far this season, Gonzalo has played 34 matches—many with limited participation—and has scored six goals in 1,119 minutes. The text emphasizes a key nuance: much of that time was played away from the penalty area, the space where the forward feels most comfortable. When he has had to play on the wing, he has competed and worked, but being away from the scoring zone has deprived him of what brings him close to goals, his natural habitat.

Player fantasy stats

Gonzalo García has accumulated 4 goals in his 25 matches played so far. In Comunio, he has a market value of 2,350,000€ and has scored 83 points, with an average of 3.3 points per match. On other fantasy platforms, his numbers are similar, for example 52 points on Biwenger or 71 points on LaLiga Fantasy DAZN.
