Valencia hosts Girona after the 1-1 draw against Mallorca, a draw that Carlos Corberán valued for his team’s “soul, personality, and resilience”, although the white-and-black side faces matchday 32 with the obligation to win again at Mestalla to break an irregular streak and push the relegation zone further away.

As for the squad, the main concern is at right back: Thierry Correia got injured in the first minutes of the last match and Valencia even considers that he might have said goodbye to the season. Adding to that absence is Foulquier, also out for the rest of the campaign, so Renzo Saravia gains significant importance after his debut against Mallorca, where he left a good impression.

Also, Eray Cömert remains out due to the abdominal injury reported by the club, so Corberán continues quite hampered defensively. Valencia’s preview, therefore, centers on that: a team that competes and sticks in the games but needs to turn that resilience into a victory to face the final stretch more calmly.

Girona FC

Minimal defeat for Míchel’s team in the midweek round, which prevents them from extending their good streak. The Catalan side did not play badly, but Betis’s efficiency kept them from adding points. The teams at the bottom are gaining ground and things are tightening, Girona urgently needs a win to virtually secure their stay another season in the top division and to be able to approach the last matches with peace of mind.

They visit a Valencia team in a similar situation, so both will be hunting the three points. We will see what Míchel proposes and how his players perform; we know the Catalan team is capable of their best and worst, so if they show their best version, they could take home three crucial points.

Regarding the starting eleven, the absences remain the same as the previous matchday, so there might be some rotation due to fatigue, but a similar lineup to the last matchday should be expected.
