Elche - Valencia

Match date: 04/11-16:15

Elche C.F.

No more fooling around, gentlemen, Valencian derby in sight right when Elche is touching the coals of relegation, just two points away from salvation. The Alicante side will look to steal some fresh air from their neighbors and return to the dreamed path.

Our Elche arrives again injured after the visit to Vallecas, the Martínez Valero must be a fortress if they want to get something from a Valencia team that arrives in a good moment of the season. We bet on the return of Lucas Cepeda to the starting eleven as the main novelty.

Pedro Bigas is out due to suspension, and Adam Boayar and Grady Diangana due to injury. Marc Aguado seems to be a doubt until the last minute.

Valencia CF

As of Thursday, April 9, Valencia arrives at the derby on Saturday the 11th at 16:15 at Martínez Valero needing to react after the 2-3 against Celta, a match that left good impressions at times but also a lot of fragility after the break. The most positive data was the level of Guido Rodríguez, scorer of both goals, while Corberán spoke afterwards of a “disappointment” for not having gotten the response he expected from the team.

The most important news in the preview is behind: Unai Núñez is out. The club’s official medical report confirmed an issue in the right hamstring area, and in recent sessions Agirrezabala, Copete, Foulquier, and Diakhaby have also remained on the sidelines. For that reason, the defense is the most conditioned area of Corberán’s eleven, with Tárrega and Cömert as the healthy central defenders and Thierry Correia as one of the solutions to rebuild the line. Also, Gayà continues working with a mask, although this is considered within competitive normality.

Regarding the possible starting eleven, the base seems quite defined: Dimitrievski in goal; defense with Thierry, Gayà and Tárrega as very probable names; Guido and Ugrinic / Javi Guerra as midfield support; and up front Sadiq still has the advantage over Hugo Duro. The main doubt remains in the attacking midfield/second line: André Almeida had gained ground due to his recent good form, but the most updated probable lineups now place Lucas Beltrán behind Hugo Duro, with Javi Guerra as an alternative.
