Valencia CF is thinking about fighting to go to Europe, and for that, they must beat Celta de Vigo at Mestalla. The Valencian team, coming off a win against Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, is three points from European competition and hopes to make the decisive leap to face the final stretch of the season with some optimism. 

Regarding injuries, Corberán will not be able to count on Copete, Diakhaby, Foulquier, and Agirrezabala. Additionally, Gayà, who will play with a mask, and Thierry are training normally and are available. Lastly, Ugrinic has not been completing training and it is unlikely that he will start.

R.C. Celta de Vigo

Real Club Celta de Vigo arrives in Valencia—in the week of Claudio Giráldez’s renewal—with the firm intention of wiping away the bad taste left by the loss last league match against Alavés after leading 3-0 at halftime. 

But the good thing about the league competition is that it immediately gives you the opportunity to lick your wounds and puts a rival like Valencia C.F.  in Mestalla in front of you, right in the fight for European spots. 

In the Celeste infirmary, besides Iago Aspas with Achilles problems, is Matías Vecino—unavailable for this matchday—and Ilaix Moriba is no longer there with medical clearance and aiming for the starting lineup in the double pivot alongside Hugo Sotelo and/or Fer López. 

Any coach who dares to have Celta players in their squad will not be surprised if we say that on the wings there are 3 men for the spots—Mingueza, Sergio Carreira, Javi Rueda—and that’s our recommendation for now. Make your conjectures and place your bets.

In the Vigo attack, we believe Borja Iglesias will accompany a very in-form Ferrán Jutglà with Swedberg or  Fer López if he ultimately does not play in the double pivot.
