Moriba has been cleared after struggling with patellar tendinopathy in his right knee. The midfielder did not play against Alavés due to suspension, although those discomforts would also have prevented him from participating, and in fact he did not travel with his national team, to which he was returning after a year.

With the midfielder now recovered, the next focus is on Sunday’s match at Mestalla against Valencia, a club where he spent half a season, from January 2022 to June 2023.

On the other hand, Iago Aspas finished Wednesday with a mild tendinopathy in the Achilles tendon of his left leg, which appeared during training. This is the striker’s first physical setback so far this season.

The captain is training individually and the club, monitoring his progress, has not yet set a recovery timeline. Aspas joins an infirmary that already included Matías Vecino and Miguel Román, the latter of whom is already ruled out for the rest of the season.

Regarding the return of internationals, the first to rejoin on Wednesday was Jones El-Abdellaoui. On Thursday Borja Iglesias, Starfelt, Williot Swedberg, Radu, and Fer López will return.
