The resolution is now final: Fede Valverde will miss the matchday 30 clash against Real Mallorca after the RFEF Disciplinary Committee dismissed the claim submitted by his club and confirmed a one-match suspension.

In the match report, José Luis Munuera Montero detailed the action that led to the sending off in the 77th minute with this exact wording: “In the 77th minute, the player (8) VALVERDE DIPETTA, FEDERICO SANTIAGO was sent off for the following reason: For kicking an opponent, without being within playing distance of the ball, using excessive force.” The Real Madrid defended that the action should not have been punished with a direct red card, but the Committee supported both the referee’s criteria and the assessment of the CTA, which also considered the no intervention of VAR appropriate.

The midfielder, who scored in the 3-2 derby victory, will not be at Son Moix against Real Mallorca, in a match that arrives amid a fierce LaLiga title race and with the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich on the horizon.
