This Monday morning, the verdiblanco team held a closed-door recovery session at the Luis del Sol sports city to begin preparing for the Europa League round of 16 second leg, scheduled for Thursday. With Manuel Pellegrini in charge, the coaching staff reviewed the draw against Celta, and the starting players worked separately.

The standout note was Natan. The center-back left the facilities to undergo tests after the episode experienced in the second half of the last match: during a Betis attack, he lay down in the middle of the field after a clash in a challenge with an opponent. From the bench, they asked him about his condition and he gave the go-ahead to continue despite the discomfort.

The Brazilian lasted the entire match, even joining the attack in the final stretch. Already in the morning, the medical services detected no injury, and the player remains available for Thursday’s match, pending whether he trains with the group or does specific work this Tuesday.
