Simeone does not rehearse a starting XI but gets Sorloth and Llorente back

Atlético face this Saturday their league clash against Getafe at the Metropolitano (16:15). In the build-up, the team also has its sights set on Tuesday's Champions League tie against Tottenham.

During the training session in Majadahonda, Diego Simeone was again left without two players due to injury. Rodrigo Mendoza and Barrios were unavailable; the latter withdrew from training on Thursday after feeling discomfort and has since relapsed. Marcos Llorente and Sorloth; who yesterday did not train with the group, have worked normally.

With an eye on the starting XI, the coach did not give any clues and, ahead of the match, the plan is to bring in players who have played fewer minutes. Names such as Sorloth, Baena, Almada or Nico fit that approach, at a time when the Atlético are still in the fight for third place with Villarreal.

The game will be played at home before next Tuesday's European fixture against Tottenham, a contest with greater significance than the one in La Liga. Even so, Cholo warned on Thursday about the risk of facing Getafe if the team does not approach the match with all five senses.
