The problem appeared during the small-sided game that closed the training session. In that final phase, Barrios felt a twinge and went inside the facilities, with the impression that it might be something muscular, awaiting medical confirmation.

Before that mishap, the youth player was in the theoretical starting eleven for the match against Getafe, playing in midfield alongside Koke, Vargas and Almada.

The player had just returned against Tottenham after his previous injury, which kept him out of the Copa tie against Barça and the Champions League match against Brujas. The midfielder was expected to start, since the other day he only played a few minutes in his comeback against Tottenham.
