The first team trained at the Luis del Sol Sports City in the second session of the week, with the plan already focused on the clash at the Athens Olympic Stadium. The verdiblanco coach ended the session with positive news from the infirmary.

One of them comes with Sofyan Amrabat, who after partially reintegrating the previous day trained again with the group and continues making strides toward his return, with the option to reappear before the March FIFA date. Giovani Lo Celso also progressed: after starting to run on the grass a few days ago, he has now put on his boots and touched the ball, pending how the muscle injury he suffered in late January evolves.

In that scenario, the last name still in the infirmary is Isco Alarcón. According to his coach, he is making positive progress in recovering from the ankle injury he suffered at the end of November following a hard collision with Amrabat.

Pellegrini is planned to announce the squad for Thursday’s match this Tuesday, and the Betis delegation will fly early tomorrow to Greece with the intention of returning with a good result that moves them closer to the quarterfinals of the continental tournament.
