Valencia signs a new right-back

Renzo Saravia underwent the medical examination this Monday prior to joining Valencia CF. The club plans to sign him until the end of the season with the idea that he occupies Dimitri Foulquier's spot, who is out due to a knee operation.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the defender explained his intention at this stage: “For now, I’m here for four months, I want to show my football and stay longer.” He added: “Now to do the tests and then follow the club's instructions.”

Saravia also referred to the team’s match at La Cerámica. “I saw the team do well, a shame about the result, they had a great second half and perhaps deserved a draw,” said the full-back.

The 32-year-old footballer arrived in Valencia this Sunday and could be announced in the coming hours as a new player for Valencia. He arrives as a free agent after playing the first half of the season with Atlético Mineiro and faces his first opportunity in Spain.

In his professional career, Saravia started at Belgrano and later played at Racing. In the 2019-20 season, he signed for Porto and, since 2020, has competed in Brazil with Internacional, Botafogo, and Atlético Mineiro, where he had been since 2023.
