Hansi Flick requests the signing of Perisic

Ivan Perisic, at 36 years old, could become one of the new market opportunities for FC Barcelona this summer. In addition to Joan Garcia, who will soon be announced as Barcelona's first signing for the 2025-26 season after paying his ?25 million release clause, the Catalan club also considers incorporating the veteran Croatian winger, who last season was crowned Eredivisie champion with PSV Eindhoven.

Perisic played a total of 35 matches in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 11 assists. He would arrive as a free agent and his salary would not be a problem for Barça, as the player is focused on continuing to compete at the highest level with the aim of being in optimal condition for the 2026 World Cup.

Last Saturday, the newspaper 'Bild' reported that Hansi Flick was seriously considering Perisic's incorporation, and today Mundo Deportivo has confirmed this information through sources close to the German coach. The player, on his part, would be willing to sign with Barça. Flick fully trusts Perisic, with whom he coincided at Bayern Munich and managed to win the Champions League in 2020. He believes that his arrival would increase the team's internal competition in the face of the high challenges of the upcoming season, especially after a campaign in which the club won three titles and has set the Champions League as a major objective.

Another aspect appreciated by Flick in Perisic is his great versatility. The Croatian international can play in any of the three positions in the attacking front ? right winger, left winger, or center forward ? and, if necessary, can also operate as a wing-back on either side, thanks to his previous experience with teams like Inter Milan, Bayern, and PSV.
