Sevilla FC has returned to the pitch to already focus on the next match against Rayo Vallecano. The week still starts marked by what El Gran Derbi left in Matías Almeyda's team.

After three days of emotional hangover from everything that El Gran Derbi represented, Sevilla FC has started preparing the clash against Rayo Vallecano. The session brought noteworthy news: the presence of Rubén Vargas, who had already worked with the group in the training sessions before the match against Real Betis, although back then it was assumed that he could not make the squad for the game at La Cartuja.

In that same pre-derby period, Maupay also dropped out. The forward suffered from some discomfort the previous day, which prevented him from being part of the list for the match held at La Cartuja. Still, last Monday he was already seen exercising in the recovery session.

On the morning of this Wednesday, the list of absences expanded. Besides Marcao, who remained out due to injury, Azpilicueta, Sow, and Peque did not train. In the case of the Navarrese center back, he asked to be substituted in the last minutes of the derby, although he later tried to ease concerns with his statements. Sow, for his part, participated in almost the entire match, while Peque stayed on the bench.

In this scenario, both Vargas and Maupay have completed a new session again and continue training with the group.
