Sergio Ramos offers himself to Sevilla to play again

Sergio Ramos wants to put on the Sevilla shirt again and, at the same time, progress in his plan to influence the club from the boardrooms. The defender, who already returned to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in the 2023-24 season, has expressed his willingness to contribute both on and off the field.

Following the heavy defeat in Palma, the Andalusian team ended up as the most scored against in La Liga. They have conceded 37 goals, a number that exposes a defense lacking in quality and experience. The veteran center-back has offered to help the squad led by Matías Almeyda, with the intention of playing again for the first team of Sevilla.

At 39 years old, Ramos has been training on his own since his time with Monterrey ended. Meanwhile, the Mallorca team celebrated those four goals at Son Moix, a result that worsened the defensive statistics of the Sevillan team. The match on the island reinforced the need to tighten up at the back after the 4-0 defeat against Mallorca.

Parallel to his physical preparation, a few days ago Ramos signed a statement of intent to buy the club. This is a process that, if completed, will still take several months.
